We are seeking an experienced SAP Lead/Architect with a deep understanding of SAP MM/WM (Materials Management/Warehousing Management) to join our team. The role is primarily focused on SAP Application Management Services (AMS) delivery, providing technical leadership and architecture guidance to ensure optimal SAP solution design, configuration, and performance in a customer-centric environment.
As an SAP Architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of SAP services, including but not limited to solution design, customer engagement, and overseeing the technical aspects of AMS operations for SAP PP, QM, MM, and WM modules. You will work closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to align business requirements with SAP capabilities and ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery.
1. Solution Architecture & Design:
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of SAP solutions, focusing on MM/WM modules.
- Develop scalable, efficient, and flexible SAP system architecture in alignment with client needs and business processes.
- Ensure the integration of SAP modules with other enterprise applications, third-party tools, and platforms.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of system improvements and upgrades.
2. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance on SAP MM/WM.
- Lead workshops, discussions, and meetings with customers to understand business requirements, pain points, and strategic goals.
- Translate customer needs into SAP functional specifications and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Support the customer throughout the SAP AMS lifecycle, from implementation to post-go-live support and enhancements.
3. AMS Delivery Oversight:
- Manage and oversee SAP AMS operations, ensuring service levels are met and client satisfaction is maintained.
- Ensure timely and effective resolution of incidents, service requests, and change requests related to SAP MM/WM.
- Implement best practices for continuous improvement in the SAP landscape, driving system optimization and proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery of services, including monitoring system performance, data accuracy, and process efficiency.
4. Technical Leadership & Mentoring:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SAP consultants and developers in the team.
- Review technical deliverables, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Lead and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions, ensuring the team is updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in SAP.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
- Continuously assess the current SAP setup and propose improvements or optimizations for better system performance, process efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in SAP and relevant technologies, integrating new capabilities where beneficial.
6. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain high-quality documentation for all design, configuration, and implementation activities.
- Provide regular status reports and updates to clients and senior management on the progress of ongoing AMS engagements.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. Technical Skills:
- Expertise in SAP MM (Materials Management), and SAP WM (Warehouse Management) modules.
- Strong knowledge of SAP integration with other systems (e.g., SAP FICO, SAP SD).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (S/4 implementations or migrations) is a plus.
- Deep understanding of business processes in manufacturing, quality control, supply chain, and warehousing operations.
2. Customer-Facing Skills:
- Proven experience in engaging with customers at various levels of the organization (business users, project managers, C-level executives).
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa.
3. Experience in AMS Delivery:
- At least 5+ years of experience in managing or delivering SAP Application Management Services (AMS), including handling tickets, incidents, change requests, and system optimizations.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks for service management.
4. Project Management & Leadership:
- Experience in leading SAP solution delivery projects or AMS engagements, working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
5. Certifications & Education:
- SAP certification in PP, QM, MM, and WM modules preferred.
- A bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master"s degree is a plus).
6. Soft Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and migration projects.
- Knowledge of additional SAP modules such as SAP SD, SAP APO, or SAP EWM.
- Familiarity with modern development tools and practices (e.g., SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, SAP Business Technology Platform).
